Sleek white paired with cool greys work together in this cool contemporary condominium kitchen for a retired couple hoping to simplify life by creating a minimalistic clean looking and more open space adjacent dining space. The cook can talk with guest while entertaining is a breeze with only 113 feet it is now a bright and functional space with clever storage. The LED lighting in the hood changes colors and is complimented by the square recessed lights and under cabinet lighting. The gray striated laminate on the base cabinets repeats in the back of the open shelf display for contrast against the decorative glass and white dishes. Gleaming new stainless appliances even include an under counter wine cooler. Bamboo flooring provides a softer solution to stand on and quartz countertops and backsplash offer easy to maintain surfaces for years to come.

Design Challenges:

Condominium hours and rules always make remodeling more challenging. Two walls were changes including shortening the pantry cabinet wall to allow larger opening into kitchen from living room and cutting down height of cooktop wall to base cabinet height. Tall soffits over existing wall cabinets were torn out to provide tall wall cabinets. Customer had to have the built in oven in tall and the under counter wine cooler in this limited space.
