The cabinets were lightened, brightened and updated with new white cabinets from Lucerne in Frost.  The shaker door style adds a timeless detail that will transition throughout the years.   Removing the cabinets over the window assist with the appearance of opening up the space and adding sunlight.  Textured white tile replaced the darker glass backsplash with a very trendy touch.  Moving the oven over to the new peninsula underneath the cooktop really adds some much needed countertop space.  Adding an island hood in stainless steel really achieves the impeccable updated look of all stainless steel appliances.  The island (now peninsula) was enlarged with additional storage space and seating for four.  A wall cabinet was added above the desk area which perfectly balances out that side of the room.  Best of all now you can see what you’re doing with huge improvements to the lighting by using LED recessed lights in the ceiling and under cabinet lights.
